photographic reproduction

Printing technology has evolved dramatically in the past 20 years. After the invention of photography in the 1830s, the desire to reproduce pictures on a printed surface was frustrated until the development of the halftone screen in the 1860s. But up until only a decade or so ago basic photographic reproduction lacked the beauty of the photographs themselves. This was a challenge for most of the 20th century, but by the late 1970s, high-end drum scanners and laser-based image setters were already addressing the reproduction issue with even greater potential. In today’s digital marketplace industry leading flatbeds and roll-to-roll wide format print technology are here to stay which means we're fast, cheap and flexible with photo realistic 1400dpi quality. We often print direct to sheets or boards which means no extra costs for mounting. We can also print roll to roll which means we can offer different fabric solutions for your images.
