Earls court and Olymipia
About Earl's Court Exhibition Centre and Olympia [more...]

Earl's Court Exhibition Centre was built in 1936 and hosts a wide variety of shows, concerts, trade fairs and exhibitions throughout the year. They offer their users a wide range of facilities including meeting rooms which are separated by an acoustic dividing wall, full AV and technical facilities as well as theatre, dining and reception areas. Earls Court One opened for business in 1937 with the Chocolate and Confectionery Exhibition, and was joined in 1991 by Earls Court Two which still boasts Europe’s biggest unsupported roof span.
Earls Court One and Two together with Olympia have a total 97,000 square meters of event space and, such is the venues’ flexibility, we can accommodate shows requiring 600 or 60,000 square metres of space.

The Brewery offers nine unique rooms for meetings, conferences, presentations, awards ceremonies, banquets and private functions and can cater for nine to 900 people.

Add to these facilities the two purpose-built conference centre’s at Earls Court and Olympia, and the Museum Hall party space at Earls Court and EC&O Venues can boast a venue and a space for every event.
Over the years, the venues have welcomed visitors to shows such as the London Boat Show, the British Motor Show, the Ideal Home Show, the London Book Fair, the Great British Beer Festival and the Good Food Show.

The halls have resounded to performances by world-famous artists such as Madonna, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, George Michael, Elton John, Kylie, Rod Stewart, Queen and the Rolling Stones.

We’ve hosted the BRIT Awards, the International Horse Show and sporting events such as boxing and wrestling contests, and some of the country’s largest companies have held conferences, training sessions and massive staff parties in our venues.

As the ultimate accolade, Earls Court has been selected to be a London 2012 Olympic venue – chosen, according to Lord Coe, Chairman of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, for its west London location and excellent transport links.
All of this puts EC&O Venues at the heart of the communities in which they operate, as the 3 million visitors, 30,000 exhibiting companies and 1000 events that we cater for every year have a sizeable economic impact – in terms of jobs and expenditure.

A study carried out on behalf of Earls Court and Olympia showed that the two venues together supported £258m of expenditure in their boroughs and over £1.25bn in the London region, and accounted for (directly and indirectly)over 1,000 jobs in the boroughs and around 12,500 in London.

The study also showed that one in two Londoners visits the venues every year.

the NEC birmingham
About NEC Birmingham [more...]

Remember when orange and brown interior decorating was all the rage? Remember when folks got down with the funk at discos? That’s right, it was the 70’s. But it wasn’t all bad. In 1976 The National Exhibition Centre (The NEC) opened its hallowed doors and changed the UK’s exhibition scene forever; it was a day to be remembered - The Queen even popped by.
Over 30 years on and ironically our hall exteriors are orange and brown, but regardless of this The NEC is the busiest exhibition centre in Europe, staging around 160 trade and consumer exhibitions each year, ranging from world-famous public shows such as Crufts and Clothes Show Live to huge international trade exhibitions like IPEX and Spring Fair, Birmingham.
Over four million people visit the centre each year. And with 21 halls totalling 200,000sqm of exhibition space on a 650-acre site we’re also the biggest exhibition centre in the UK. As such The NEC is renowned for large-scale international trade fairs, but we also has an active interest in helping smaller specialist shows develop, providing advice, support and essential services to organisers.
Our flexible, flat-floored, interconnected halls offer endless possibilities for all types of exhibitions and events and are complemented by extensive conference and banqueting facilities. The NEC is much more than space for hire, we can provide a multitude of services that provide everything needed for a successful event including - event management, catering, security, marketing, advertising, ticketing, audio visual, graphics, internet and IT, utility and technical services…well like we said a multitude.
About The SECC
The Convention site is based on the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC). Many people will remember the SECC from Intersection, the 1995 Worldcon, but the facilities available today bear little resemblance to those in use five years ago. Many of the existing halls have been refurbished, and the main concourse is also being redeveloped. The main change however is the addition of a completely new purpose built conference centre, designed by the award winning architect Sir Norman Foster and nicknamed the "Armadillo". The Armadillo features a 3000 seat main auditorium and 16 other rooms with capacities ranging from 12 people to 600.
